Wakeup Call
Re: Voters should consider Harper’s contempt Province April 10/201
Dan Gardner’s editorial was right on point. In a parliamentary system that depends very heavily on parliamentary traditions, as opposed to hard legislative laws, the whole system is susceptible to abuse.
In other words with our parliamentary system it is crucial to have a leader that not only respects Canada’s Constitution, democracy and just as important parliamentary traditions, in other words the system is no more democratic or better than the man in charge.
Considering Mr. Harpers constant disregard and even contempt for the Canadian Constitution and it’s parliamentary traditions, the Canadian people and yes democracy itself, I think the Canadian people would be very foolish indeed giving a politician like Mr. Harper not only a majority, but any leadership role.
Canadians had better become aware of the dangerous path Canadian democracy has taken over the last few years and reclaim our democracy before it is to late.
This present Democratic tragedy is certainly not what my father went off to war to fight for, Canada used to be one of the most respected democracies in the world.

P.S. We desperately need a new electoral system and some tough new laws about media monopoly's and election financing.
